Immutable decision record

Timestamped, tamper-proof artefact of every fixing decision: inputs, scenarios, rationale, sign-off — the evidence the CFO and auditor need.

An immutable decision record is a single artefact, generated at the moment of decision, that captures everything required to explain why the decision was made: the forward curve at that timestamp, the exposure modelled, the scenarios simulated, the quantified ranking, the rationale chosen, and the sign-off chain. Once created, it cannot be altered — the record itself is the audit trail.

The point is to remove ambiguity from the post-mortem. Six months after a fixing decision, the question “why did we commit at that price?” should be answerable from a single artefact, not reconstructed from emails, spreadsheets, and memory. The CFO sees the rationale. The auditor sees the evidence. The buyer doesn’t write a report after the fact — the record was written as the decision happened.

INAYA’s Decision Governance module produces an immutable, committee-ready record for every fixing simulation in under 30 seconds. The record is a PDF with full audit trail, suitable for a hedging committee, an internal audit review, or an external auditor request. The same artefact serves three readers.

Related concepts: decision governance (the discipline the record implements), commodity audit trail (the chain of records across decisions), fixing decision (the object the record describes).
